If all aftercare instructions are followed correctly, the gem will last anywhere between 6-24 months.

The tooth gem application process takes approximately 15-20 minutes!

No, a tooth gem will no harm your tooth or leave any permanent damage.

Can I still have my teeth cleaned at the dentist?

Yes, you will still be able to undergo a clean! We encourage a good dental hygiene routine to prevent plaque from building up around the tooth gem. A dentist will easily be able to safely clean around the gem.

Can a tooth gem be applied to any tooth surface?

Absolutely! Tooth gems can be applied to artificial surfaces like crowns, caps, veneers, and dentures. However, please note that since these surfaces aren’t natural teeth, the gem may not last as long, and doing so will void our 30-day warranty.

Can I eat and drink after a tooth gem application?

We recommend not eating for at least 1 hour after the application, so please ensure that you eat prior to appointment. We also recommend that you only eats soft foods for 12 hours after the gem has been applied.

How should I take the gem off when I no longer want it?

Always ensure that you visit a dentist to remove your tooth gem. Please do not attempt to remove the gem at home. Our adhesives are of the highest standards and by doing so, you could damage your enamel. A dentist will simply remove the gem and buff/polish the tooth to remove any remaining composite.

Can I still have my teeth whitened once a gem has been applied?

Yes, you will still be able to undergo regular teeth whitening treatments with your gem in place. For the best results, we recommend undergoing a whitening treatment before having your gem placed.

TEETH WHITENING

Is teeth whitening safe?

Yes, when done by a trained professional.

How white will my teeth get?

We guarantee that you'll leave our studio with noticeably whiter teeth; generally at least 5 shades whiter however, the exact level of whitening can vary. Individual results depend on factors such as your initial tooth shade, genetics, lifestyle habits and the duration of session booked. Each smile is unique!

Will I see immediate results?

Yes!

What if I have sensitive teeth?

It is best to let us know if you usually experience sensitive teeth. In studio we will modify your treatment by possibly decreasing the whitening application time and applying a desensitising gel prior and post treatment. We also recommend brushing with sensitive toothpaste up to 2 weeks before your whitening appointment, as well as after.

How does teeth whitening work?

Teeth are made up of an outer layer called enamel. Tooth enamel is porous, allowing stains from day-to-day things such as coffee, tobacco, and red wine to work their way into the tooth. Our specialised teeth whitening formula contains hydrogen peroxide, an agent that works through the enamel of the tooth to break down staining. As a result, you are left with a brighter, whiter smile.

How long does teeth whitening last?

Teeth whitening is not permanent, but results can last up to 6-18 months, depending on lifestyle factors and how well you follow aftercare and look after your teeth post teeth whitening treatment. The results will last longer if you avoid foods and drinks that will re-stain your teeth. Typically our clients choose to revisit us every 3-6 months for an ultimate white smile.

Is teeth whitening suitable for everyone?

Teeth whitening is not suitable for those who are under the age of 16, pregnant, breastfeeding, anyone who has plaque build up, cracked teeth, open cavities, gum disease, bleeding gums, swollen and inflamed gums and those who need filling work from their dentist.

What if I have veneers, crowns or fillings?

Whitening products will not alter the original color of crowns, veneers, or fillings; however, they can effectively eliminate any surface stains on these restorations. Whitening can be applied to the lower teeth to match the shade of veneered upper teeth, or the other way around
